Hi all,

I recently applied for my PR and PGWP.

My PR is in process but my PGWP got refused.
As an Irish passport holder do I require a TRV? or am I exempt from this?

I'm not sure what the process is?
Please advise

Has your study permit already expired and if so, when?

Also would my PR get effected because of this refusal?
Refusal reason was because of college not been a public college

Yes - it could impact your PR application. You must have valid status in Canada to apply for PR and you are currently out of status. See the link above. Apply to restore your status to a visitor asap.

Please assist on the below. Am I still eligible for a TRV? I'm confused right now based on the below. I was given this as my refusal letter. I submitted my TRV as restoration of status as a visitor today 21st of March. Am I on the right path?

[X] We also wish to advise you that your temporary resident status expired on 2018/03/20.
You may apply for restoration if, within 90 days from the expiry of your temporary resident status, you submit:
 a completed application form;
 applicable fees for restoration and for the immigration document(s). Payments should be made online at www.cic.gc.ca. When you are finished, you must print the receipt of payment and include it with your application.
 all required documents in support of your application.

Please consult the section “Restoration of status” in the application guide: “Applying to change conditions or extend your stay in Canada”. Restoration applies to each member who has lost his or her status. Please note that there is no guarantee your application will be accepted.
Should you choose not to apply for restoration of your status, you will remain a person without legal Temporary Resident Status and as such will be required to leave Canada immediately. If you do not leave Canada voluntarily, enforcement action may be taken against you.

Hi

Hi i am new here so i don't know if im on the right thread.
My question is if you can travel in US with an expired TRV and under implied status as a visitor, can a person still re enter canada with an expired visa and implied status? ( extension of stay expired last april but able to apply again for another extension last march waiting for decision still)

Please HELP.....
I have read travelling to US on dont requires a valid visa as long as you have a valid permit to stay in canada is that applicable if you have an implied status as a visitor????

Thank you in advance! we are planning to travel US next month

1. As soon as you leave Canada you "implied status" ends. There is no way the US can validate your implied status. (They could, but they won't)

What do you mean? I can neither enter US as well with an implied status??

You can certainly enter the US if they allow you in. However, the exemption to return to Canada on an expired TRV only applies to those with an approved stay, i.e. a work permit, a study permit or a Visitor Record. You will not be able to return to Canada without a valid TRV.
