Hi all,
I have recently been accepted into UBC in the Sauder FT MBA program. I got my acceptance on the 23rd of May 2019 and classes start in August. I am applying for student visa now. One of the requirements for the visa is to show proof of funds for one year of study plus approx 12000 CAD for living expenses. The MBA is a really expensive program and the fee for 16 months program is 80000 CAD. In my case the proof of funds equals 60000 (3/4 of 80000) plus 12000 = 82000 CAD. My father is paying for my education entirely but he has only 20000 CAD in his account right now. For the rest of the amount he is going to sell property and a vehicle to cover the cost of the MBA. Now he can only do this once I have the visa. I have gotten notarized documents showing that the property belongs to us along with a notarized affidavit regarding how the payments will be made. Will these be enough for visa purposes? The dollar amount of 82000 CAD is too much to arrange in two weeks which is the maximum to which I can delay the process. Any and all advice will be greatly appreciated.
