I just had a failed hearing last week. My lawyer advised me to make an appeal. He is asking for 10,000 but I can pay 5,000 first. Is this fair? Does anyone know how much? Thanks

Of course the lawyer advised you to appeal. He gets paid either win or lose and can ask for however much he wants.

You really should be evaluating whether an appeal has a chance or not. Where are you from and what were your grounds for claiming refugee status?
