Hi

Turn off the CAPS lock.

You will need to sponsor your spouse for PR. As a PR, you must be residing in Canada throughout the sponsorship process. If she cannot get a TRV to come to Canada with you, you will be apart during the process.

^ correct :)

OP if you want your wife to come to Canada and be sponsored you have to move to Canada and sponsor her from With in Canada . You can't sponsor her from India and if she can't get a TRV you can't leave Canada and visit her when your application is processing.

As others have already explained, you cannot sponsor her from outside of Canada. In order to sponsor her, you must return to Canada and then remain in Canada while the PR application is being processed. If your spouse can obtain a TRV, then she can travel with you. If not, she will need to remain in India and you will have to be separated while you travel to Canada to submit the PR application and wait for it to be processed.

But i want that she should also work in Canada during her application for PR..

What shud we do in such case as we cant give gap in her career too.

She won't be able to legally work in Canada until she receives PR, if she's applying from Outside Canada.
It works differently if she is applying from Inside Canada, but she would need to enter Canada legally and you
would need to have moved to Canada and be working in Canada.

If you move to Canada and apply for your wife who is still in India, then she is an Outside applicant.
You can expect the application to take about 1 year from the date you submit it.
Most people take a couple of months to prepare the application before they submit it.

Apply for a TRV. If the TRV is approved, she can come with you to Canada and you can apply for PR using the inland process. She will be granted an open work permit approximately four months after the application is submitted.

If the TRV is refused, she will need to remain in her home country while you travel to Canada. She won't be able to come to Canada or work in Canada until her PR visa is approved.

What is the probability of getting TRV for her?

Any particular things to keep in mind while applying her TRV & OWP?

PS: She is a Chartered Accountant and working with one of the Big 4's.

Please guide

It's often difficult to get a TRV approved for someone who has a Canadian PR spouse since CIC knows they have plans to remain in Canada long term and probably aren't a genuine tourist.

if she manages to get TRV, then we can apply Open work permit as well as pr application from inside canada as inside applicant?

Yes, if she is approved for a TRV and applies inland, she can include an OWP app.

The only other way is if she can get her employer to "sponsor" her for a work permit for instance, and succeeds in getting an LMIA from her current or a different employer or an intra-company transfer. Both of those are unlikely. Or, if she goes through the stream you did and qualifies on her own. I think this option would take longer than the spousal sponsorship though, assuming she qualifies.

All around the easiest way is if you can get past the TRV barrier. Make sure she shows VERY strong ties, travel history and funds in India on the application.
