i need some urgent help please..

a month and half ago i did my second medical and have been received. i decided to email the cairo vo. for any updates. i got a shocking response today telling me that your file is pending the RPRF by your sponsor. and that they cant go further till the payment is done and confirmed .. and now its been a month and a half a go and i dont have any idea about this fees. i thought my lawyer paid that at the begining of the process. and my fault i didnot fellow up with him about the fees.. but now im so freaked out and going crazy .. am afraid that this will affect my file toward refusal..i know this will defiantly delay my process again . im going to call my lawyer tomorrow and find out what the hell is going on .. but since they tell me that i still have to pay it . ANYONE PLEASE COULD TELL ME HOW TO PAY ASAP ONLINE OR ANY OTHER WAYS AND HOW LONG FOR THIS FEE TO BE PROCESSED AND DONE . please any help or advices would be highly appreciated..
P.S i live in the usa ..

We didn't know about this fee either so my husband did pay it 3 weeks ago after my interview, when they told us to pay this fee since I succesfully passed the interview.

Also its not mendatory to pay this fee ahead of time, its your own choice.

You can pay this fee on line on CIC site:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/index.asp

Good luck!

I do not really know for sure, but I don't think it has to be your own credit card, for me my husband payed, (the sponsor).
And yes, you send the recepit to your VO and Mississagua, by email, mail or fax. Fax and emails are the fastest.

You find the instructions on CIC site, section -pay application fees-.

you can use anyone's credit card...fax/email a copy of the receipt to mississauga and the vo but the vo will not consider payment made until mississauga confirms to them that they have received it.....unfortunately this may delay your application for a little bit so pay as soon as possible.

Thank you guys for the help and the info. I called my lawyer and asked him about this fee . He told me that he paid it at the beginning an he has the receipt . And he will email the reciept to the embassy . So how come they couldn't find this payment and at this case what would happen? Anyone had this situation before .. Please share with me .

Thanks

possibly your lawyer forgot to enclose the receipt??? or it was entered wrong at the time by the agent in Mississauga....could be a number of reasons....but if it is already paid and he has the receipt hopefully it won't slow up your process....

I believe THAT is your problem. The receipt that your lawyer has should have been mailed with your application as proof of payment and that is why they have no idea that you paid it! Luckily your lawyer still has this receipt and can send it in, but it can lead to a delay in your application (your file will now be waiting for this to arrive and will have to be looked at again in teh future to confirm arrival.. instead of just being done with, had the receipt been sent originally). If I were you, I would be a little upset with my lawyer for the delay... but no use getting mad now.. seems like you are very close to the end of the process. Make sure your lawyer sends it off ASAP AT HSI EXPENSE. Good luck!

thanks for the reply miss dominica, yea im so angry and upset . and the lawyer could tell that from my voice tune when i talked to him . well the problem was that my lawyer paid the 2 fees at once from inside Canada at the beginning of the process (550 n 490) to Case Processing Centre: Vegreville, Alberta, and my visa office in Cairo requested this fees from Mississauga ( its the one responsible for out lands applications) so i think that was the confusion , so my lawyer will email the embassy with the receipt along with a detailed message ..but does this will also delay my process. i mean the fees already paid to vegreville .... are not they one system .... ? .

no if your application was for outland it went to the wrong address......outland applications go first to mississauga and then the applicable VO......vegreville, alberta is the case processing centre for inland applications.......your lawyer should know that if he does any type of immigration regularly.......

The issue of a delay won't be due to the fact that they can't find the money (you paid it, the receipt will show it), but the issue will be that when they receive the receipt from your lawyer, it could be weeks before they take action again on your file. I know many people who have gotten passport/RPRF payment requests (meaning the process is done) but the office has held their passport and not returned it for a weeks-months after receiving the passport and RPRF payment. So they won't delay you because they do not have the money (they will easily be able to find it once your lawyer sends the receipt), however, when they receive your RPRF receipt, it could be weeks before they actually take action again on your file (they don't receive and work on it the same day, at least, most offices are not that efficient). So, depending on how "slow" your office is to take action on new items, it could be fast or it could be weeks to months. I hope it's fast for you and sorry about the disappointment. But you're almost there... light at the end of that long tunnel!

thanks a gain guys. but my question still remain. i already paid the fee to vegreville aberta. and i am out land applicant . i know my lawyer should pay it to Mississauga . what would happen now ...? already paid and done . but now what should i do or what are they going to do with this issue .
thank you all

There is nothing you can do really. You can sign onto your file electronically (where you go online to check for updates, change address, etc) and explain to the office what happened and that your receipt has been sent by your lawyer to show you paid.

That's it for your end. You wait until they receive your receipt from your lawyer, wait til they open your file again (could be fast, could be many weeks, depending on their efficiency). If that was all they needed to issue your visa, then they should do so upon receiving the receipt. It's the time in between that will be painful (waiting)... especially since it was an unnecessary delay. But what's done is done and at least you know that you're near the end.

Email the office and wait. All ya can do. Good luck!

Thanks a lot miss Dominica . My lawyer already faxed and emailed them with the reciept to confirm that .. And ur right it's so painful since I have been waiting for almost 15 month only on the PR application . Been going through hell . But what can we do . Just wait . And hopefully it's the end cuz I feel I will see my own end before this process ends . Anyway thanks for ur share and the wishing .
