I need help to extend my open work permit.
1) To apply for open work permit do we need any proof that we have currently full time job?
2) What are the other documents they ask apart from Passport and current open work permit?

I don't have any full time job at this moment and the place where i work is diffenert then what I had applied Under CEC. My current employer is not helpful in such immigration things so i am scared now whether I have to get a letter from him or not.

THANKS IN ADVANCE

Did you apply under the old CEC system (before Jan 2015)? If you are an old CEC applicant and meet the following requirements, you can apply for a Bridge Open Work Permit (BOWP) online or through paper.

1. Have a file number/AOR number from CIC
2. Your current work permit is about to expire in four months
3. You are currently in Canada.

You don't need an employment letter (don't need to be full-time employed) to apply for BOWP.

When you apply, you will need to provide the AOR email from CIC as well.

I think you will find some useful tips on this thread "Tips for a successful BOWP application". Cannot post link but you can search it here.

But i am not sure how it works for EE.

As XYyoyo mentioned if you meet those requirements you can apply for BOWP without any hassle.

If you don't meet the requirements then your employer needs to obtain a LMIA (search it, and read about it), and with that in hand you can extend your work permit. Also if you are working under a different profession now, compared to the one you declared on your CEC application and your academic qualifications, for obtaining a LMIA it will raise some eyebrows. So be careful.

Best of luck,
