I have very importan question about my immigration file.
I am working in USA on H1b visa and sent my immigration file on April 16, 2009 to Sydney. Ny home country is India.
I received a notification of initial assesment on 6th may, 2009 from Sydney. (indicating that all documents to be send to buffalo within 12o days.
I sent all my documents to Buffalo on September 1st, 2009.
Today, I received all my documents back from buffalo for minor mistake in the form (IMM 0008). Backgroun declaration.
The mistake is: I did not answer the question "Government position held" (section 13 of the form IMM 008)
The immigration office want me to mention not applicable if i did work any government position and resubmit the whole application package withing 60 days.
Also, they stamped my application indicating the date application received and with Regional Program Center (buffalo).
Now i have 60 days to resubmit my application to buffalo.
Now my questions are:
1) My company is not doing well and i might get layoff, so i want to expedite my application and i learn from this forum that new delhi is faster than buffalo.
At this stage of my application can i transfer my applicaton to New Delhi by sending email to Sydney and buffalo office, and submit all my documents to New Delhi if they approve my request? Is anyone got sucess in transfering the file from buffalo to new delhi and have case like mine.
2) Since my application is returned back from buffalo, is it advisable to send email to buffalo and sydney office?
3) what if they will not reply back to my email?
4) Is anyone having sucess in getting response from transfering file from buffalo to new delhi?
5) Is New Delhi has different requirements of sending the documents that Buffalo? (if they approve my request of transfering file to New delhi)
I appreciate your early feedback?
Please respond to my qustion asap so that i can decide about sending the email to buffalo and sydney OR i a can resend the application package to Buffalo with minior changes.
