Hi,

My application was returned to me because I used the wrong version of the "Additonal Family Information Form"

As well as returning my application package, they also gave me a letter stating the following:

"As your application does not meet the requirements of Regulation (10) of IRPA, it is incomplete.
It is being returned to you for this reason. Your application fee was not processed and is also being returned to you. Your application has not been recieved, and no record has been retained."

My big question is this. I have corrected the "Additional Family Information Form" and will resubmit my package today.
BUT I am confused about the payment. The first time sending my package, I paid online on February 22nd and included my online payment receipt with the package.
Now that I am resending my package, should I re use the same payment receipt? Or do I ahve to pay again? Because, nowhere in the letter did it state that I will be refunded.

Someone please help, as I have to resend the package today at lunch time.

Since your application fee was not processed the last time, you should send the same online payment receipt with your application.

But I paid online, and the funds left my Credit Card on the day that I paid, which means that the paymant has indeed been proccessed. The balanace of $550.00 was already dedcuted from my credit card on that day.

Im so confused!

I suggest you contact your credit card provider with the information from CIC; they should be able to tell you how long it will take to have your old payment reversed. You are better off making a new payment and including a new receipt with you new application.

I just spoke to a call center agent, and she advised that I dont need to pay again, and that I should resend the original payment receipt.
Because the fact that they sent the receipt back to me, means that it has not been refunded.
She advised that if the amount was to be refunded, they would have sent a refund receipt etc...

Hopefully the young lady I spoke with at the Call Centre is correct, as I have learnt not to take what they say as 100% accurate.

I will be resending the oriignal payment receipt with my package today.

Sighs... I will keep everyone posted on the outcome.

I suggest to call the call center again and double check just to make sure that the info they provided is consistent across the board...

Thats exactly what Im doing right now. I'd like to see if another agent gives the same information.
Too bad the wait time is 10 minutes or more!
 
To confirm, the second agent I spoke with assured me that I dont need to pay again.
I will send original payment receipt.
 
Just to clarify here, while funds are paid to CIC by your credit card company, CIC does not "link" the funds to any application until they process your application with the payment receipt. Therefore, if you receive your application back, and CIC says that the payment has not been processed, it means that the funds have still not been linked to an application.

You can therefore continue to use the same online receipt.
 
The amount which you paid online is not yet used still you can submit the same payment reference number.
