I got the ITA recently and I am principal applicant. I went for Upfront medicals. One week later I got call from the Doctor for additional medical test. When visited he explain about the syphilis result and advised me to visit Family doctor.I remember he said No Positive Syphilis.

This is the summary of the report

Syphilis Screen Reactive
Syphilis RPR Screen Non - Reactive
Syphilis TPPR Non Reactive
Syphilis FTA -ABS Non - Reactive
Syphilis Serology Interpretation Results consistent with false reactive CLIA. Rare alternate interpretations
include early syphilis, previously treated, or late latent syphilis

Note: if clinical suspicion of early syphilis, suggest single repeat serology in 2-4 weeks if not reported already
Results should be interpreted in conjunction with clinical history, signs and symptoms

No historic data found for samples submitted after April 26 2010

I am bit concerned. How it will impact my PR application will that be potential reason for rejection. I haven't submitted the application yet. Please guide on how to proceed.

You need to do whatever your physician asks you to do. Go and do additional tests as requested and wait for results. You will not be rejected and your medicals will be in progress until CIC gets "all clear" from the doctor. That also means that if you need treatment your application will be in process until the treatment is over. I am in a similar situation with my husband having scarring on lungs. He went for additional tests and we are awaiting results. We submitted our application but
Medical is still under review.

I also have same result . Did CIC accept your result

Treat the syphillis which I hope you are already doing. As long as it isn’t chronic it is easily treatable and shouldn’t result in a refusal. You should even be able to prove that you are not infected soon.

Actually not, this is just a false pasitive screening test, they'll ask you to repeat it in 2-4 weeks just in case, and that's it.

That's not a diagnosis of syphilis. Nothing to worry about.

Assume the person actually has syphilis and wasn’t looking at the exact results.

Your sentence doesn't even make sense.

It does actually. Lots of people seem to actually seem to have syphilis these days. There are a surprising amount of applicants posting that they have tested positive for syphilis Think the poster was saying they have syphilis and not they have the exact serology results as OP.

Hi ,
My report looks like this:-

Syphilis Antibody Screen Reactive
Syphilis RPR Screen Non-Reactive
Syphilis TPPA Non-Reactive

Syphilis Serology Interpretation Results consistent with false reactive screening test. Rare alternate interpretations
include early syphilis, previously treated, or late latent syphilis

Note: if clinical suspicion of early syphilis, suggest single repeat serology in 4 weeks if not reported already

No, I meant it doesn't make sense because your post was poorly writen and hard to understand, No offense

The results posted by @murali_vanka, are consistent with a false positive screening test.

I cannot possibly teach you an entire lesson on screening tests here, but that's why 2 different confirmatory tests were performed, both of which were negative. With those results it's safe to conclude that there is not an infection.
