I am about to finish my studies and now will get enrolled for Co-op work term.
My question is how many years of work permit i might be eligible for?
I started my 1st Semester in Jan 2018 and then I completed in April 2018 end so later, i decided to change my college and took admission for Sep 2018 intake. But as it was summer so i took break and worked full time and co-incidentally when i took transfer it was summer break. So after finishing my 4 months summer break I started my studies in new college and done continuously studies till date and have completed 4 semesters including co-op work term which will get finish by end of Dec 2019. So here’s my list of questions.
1. Did i violated the rules while i decided to take transfer and it was summer break time and took semester off and started working full time? As i am getting confused as per cic rules student can’t start working before the studies begins, but in my case I already started my studies and then i changed my college.
2. My transferred college have taken credit transfer of those subjects which i finished in previous college. Will that Semester (Jan 2018) gets counted while accessing the length of studies for giving pgwp?
3. For how many semesters cic counts as 1 year of studies? In my case, i did total 4 semesters in my new college and 1 sem in my previous college with 1 summer break.
So overall, what’s the length of my studies would be?
I am hoping someone could please help me out with these tricky questions.
