Hello Everyone!

I've received an email yesterday from CIC and they are requesting the following:

"As your spouse is currently in Canada please obtain a determination of her Immigration status from CIC and provide the report to us.

Therefore I am asking you to submit any additional information and/or documentation that would allay my concern(s). You have 30 days from the date of this letter to submit the additional information and/ or documentation to the above address."

What does it mean? They are the CIC and they want me to provide a document issued by them? I am so confused... Anyone knows how can my wife obtain this document and why they are asking that?

Here is my timeline for your reference and any suggestions or comments would be much appreciated.

App Filed: Dec. 19,2013.
AOR Received: Feb. 10,2014
ECAS Status: in process since December 22, 2014.
MR received: April,2015
Medicals done and update on ECAS: April, 2015

Thanks a lot guys,

Just copy her work permit/visitor visa etc, whatever she has! Or is she here as a tourist? Well if not, you should provide a copy of the permit she has… maybe add when she has entered Canada as well?

pardon me if this is a stupid question, but - let's get this out of the way - you DID include your wife in your application, yes?

Verification of status -
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/certcopy.asp

But if you have her current immigration documents, just copy and send them -

OP's wife has been here since 2006 without status (according to his earlier posts).
