Hello,

please tell me how to mention "The cost of my stidies" in the form..
it asks for the Tution fee, room and board and others...
1) Do i have to mention whole 2 years of tution fee ??? ( University has mentioned only first year tution fee in the offer letter for embassy)
2) room and boardings ?? for 2 years ??
3) others ????

my bank statement reflects only 1 year tution fee + $ 10000. for the next year i will liquidate the money by selling some property.
i am curious to know what to write in "Funds avaiable for my stay" and in "the cost of my studies"????

you should use the amount of tuition fees mentioned in offer letter. you have to show funds for 1 year( room and board and others)

Remember : cost of your study (tuition fees+room and board+ other cost) = funds available for your stay

the required fund will be # tuition fees+ CAD $10000+ air fare....you have to maintain at least this amount @ your bank.

but remember the more you show the better.

Generally, you can show 1 year worth of expense BUT you also have to prove that there some sort of continuous source of money income while will accumulate over the year to pay your 2nd year expense.

Now, are you going by self funding (if yes, are you married? If so, will your wife accompany you or not? Will you be leaving behind someone who relies on your income?) or there is going to be a sponsor like father, mother or someone else? Do you have any form or loan/scholarship? Clarify me on these matters and I will be able to assist you on the matter.

this means that i have to mention only 1 year costing (fee+board+others) in form IMM1294 ..........
and also quote my end statement amount for the fund available

Well if you just show 21K, then VO will simply reject your application. This is because your father is sponsoring your and they will simply question that if your father is putting all the money on your expenditure, then how can he sustain his family back in the country. This is a very common mistake done by applicant by showing just the exact amount of money (1year/2year) while having a sponsor and thus getting rejected. If you were independent, then it would not have been a problem. But this can easily be overcomed by showing that your father has a continuous source(s) of income which is enough to sustain the family.

About the properties, I don't know how you are going to prove that you will sell the properties if needed for your expenditure because people generally show properties for country tie.

Besides, I am not sure about the success rate of applicants showing 1 year of expenditure since all the successful applications that I have come across have shown 2 years worth of money. Then again I might be wrong.

rhasan thanks for your reply, well yes i am presenting my fathers payslip and job evidences as a proof for a continuous source of income...
and as for the fixed asset/properties i am presenting their current valuation... i will probably make an affidavit showing that i have properties that i will use in future for overcoming the 2nd year expenses...

But the question is what should i mention in the application IMM1294??? what you think would be right ???
- 1 year fee + 1 year boarding and 1 year of statement?
or
is it necessary to mention
- complete master fee (2 years) + 2 years of boarding ?

NB: i will mention $21K as funds available for my stay. (as per bank statement)
i think that i can't include fixed valuation amount in this category..

You SHOULD make an affidavit because it is mandatory, not only showing properties in it but also the bank statement and all sort of financial support. Affidavit is the main document of agreement from your sponsor showing his/her will to support your expense.

If you are showing two years of expense, then put 2 years worth of money in the form or put in one if you are showing one years worth of money
