Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Dear friends, I have an urgent query on the ECA result of WES. My wife has completed Bachelors in Biotechnology (3 years) and Masters in Microbiology (2 years) from Osmania University Hyderabad, India but WES assessed it as 4 years bachelors and 1 year post graduate diploma.

on EE profile in education section, I'm unable to find "Postgraduate diploma" from the drop-down Level of Education shown in ECA. What do I select now? If I select 1 year program at university, its only giving me 8 points for her education, which means the PG is not considered at all.

I'm at a loss of 2 points because of this wrong assessments. I'm planning to contact WES but please let me know if there is a way I can get maximum points for her education.

WES usually assesses a bachelors degree as 12+4. However, in india it's 12+3 which gives a bachelors degree.

Right.. so how do I get points for her master's? It's assessed as 1 year post graduate diploma. If not the additional 2 points, isn't a there a way I can get 1 point, as 2 or more degrees or certificates?

With WES you perhaps cannot. The only option is to try again with CES or IQAS. There have been cases where another body gave a masters when WES did not. The ECA in different bodies is not consistent unfortunately! The whole thing is one money making thing!

Also, there is no guarantee. It is a chance you can take. Maybe you will get Masters with CES. Maybe you wont. If money is not an issue, take a chance. Some have taken that chance and got different evaluations and some have got the same evaluation again. Your decision!

Thank you johnsyk for the response. With the current tredn.. Im hopeful I get an ITA with 457. Let me see how my luck pans out.
Hands down to Wes though
