Hi,

I just finished my ONE year POST GRADUATION certification school and I'm going to work for a year then I will apply for PR.
Will I be eligible to apply for PR under this condition ??

I was in doubts because I have this information :

"Applicants whose length of study in Canada is less than two academic years may
be eligible if their credentials are for a graduate program (at least eight months) and a previous
qualifying post-secondary educational credential (at least eight months), within the two years
preceding the completion of the graduate program [R87.1(2)(a)(i)(D)]. See the example below. "

Im not sure if a ONE YEAR POST Grad is eligible under that circumstance?

I really need an answer because Im currently looking for a full time job and If I'm not eligible, I might go with different employer who can help me with PR application under ONTARIO NOMINEE.

thank you.

Where did you get that piece of information from?
Make sure you go to http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/cec.asp and always
download the latest forms and instruction manuals.
NEVER ever use outdate and updated forms.

And in addition to my previous post:

If you find a skilled position and work in that position for 12 months, full-time + you
meet all other CEC requirements, then yes, that would make you eligible under CEC class.

Hi,

Thanks so much for the answer !

I was quite shocked my self when I read the information !
I google about CEC and this PDF was on the list -> w3.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/op/op25-eng.pdf
AND it seems legit (updated 2013).
Do you think it's not the most updated one ?

also I want to ask you one more question.

My original permit when I came to canada was WORK PERMIT, case type : 20, worked for more than a year.
I work for a company in canada. it was an intern, right after I finished my undergrad program.
I dont have study permit or anything like that, its just a PURE WORK PERMIT.

So Im wondering if that count as 12 months experience for CEC as well ?
since its stated on the web, as long as its 12 months exp, I can apply.

Thanks.

That's the one you want to read:

Great,

I think that's the most updated PDF for CEC !
Thanks a lot !

btw, do you know how to determine if a work permit is a COOP WORK permit or a NORMAL WORK PERMIT ?

thank you.
