Dear all: I am a little worried about how to go about the proof of fund. I plan on selling my car and my father is going to gift me a little property that I shall be selling off to fulfill the requirement. This means, the amount of money generated from these will suddenly pop up in my bank account rather than shown for atleast six months. Would that be a problem? Pleas advise! Thank You.

Any advise please?

It depends on your account, when it was opened, what money goes in/out?
Ideally your account should be at least 3months old - showing a steady stream of money in and out.

You could get a receipt from the sales and try and explain it within your LOE within the ITA application with the receipts.

My account is a seven years old salary account. But the amount required as pof will be deposited in lump some by me after selling property. My account will show only my monthly salary before this huge deposit. Is that going to be a problem?

You've a lot on your mind right now ;) You can be forgiven for forgetting a few things ;) All the best!
Oh Yes! You so know it. Am already wondering where to start with :) Thanks.

One thing at a time, and you'll soon have all that you need.
Right. Journey of a thousand miles! Starting with the first step of getting the work reference letter tomorrow.

All the best. Those are usually the hardest to get, especially if they're for your current job ;)

Thanks. My supervisor/head of department has been very cooperative, and has promised me a letter whenever I receive the ITA. I am only worried about getting a letter from the bank as well as proof of funds. I hope a gift deed works for me.

The letter from the bank is usually straight forward - all they have to say, in your case, is that the account is in your name and was opened on what date. The gift deed will take care of the rest.

As long as you do things in the prescribed way and have enough funds to show, everything else will sort itself out. Best of luck.
