I have an appointment for an upfront medical tomorrow and have been told to bring an up to date vaccination record.

Apparently I "need to have had the measles vaccination" to enter Canada.

I grew up before the MMR vaccine and had measles as a child so have had no measles vaccination.

Has anyone else been asked to provide proof of vaccination please?

No, there is nothing in the immigration medical requirements about vaccinations.

Thanks.

My daughter had hers done in the UK last week and no mention was made of vaccination record.

I'm getting mine done in the UAE and have been told I need to have been vaccinated against measles. Probably just another money-making exercise here in the UAE :(

Quite possible. We've seen it happen before. If they push for it, tell them you will report them to CIC; they should back down. Most won't risk losing their Panel Physician designation.

I've emailed the manager of the Immigration Medical Program to ask for confirmation. Hopefully I'll get an answer overnight to be able to take the reply to the panel physician.

I had my upfront medical done in Ottawa and I didn't have to bring anything but my passport and the cash. She didn't even ask about my vaccinations at all.

Unfortunately I don't have anything back from the manager but I am going to argue the point when I get there.

I wasn't told about this when I made the appointment, only when they called to confirm it.

I've looked through the link from Canuck_in_uk and I can't find anything in there about vaccinations so if they press the point I'll ask them to show me where it says I have to have a measles vaccination.
