Hi,

After sending out my application, I have received an email from CIC stating that my spouse met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor. Yet the Upfront Medical Report form (IMM1017B UPFRONT) signed by a Panel Physician has not been provided. I went to book my appointment for Medical health report in Ireland, yet her UCI number wasn't found on their system, did anyone experience the same issue? We couldn't proceed with the health report. I am not sure how to proceed, I already emailed CIC and still waiting for response. But its taking so long to get feedback. Please help.

for outland spousal sponsorship, you don't have to be "in the system" to have the medical done. generally, the medical is done before the application is submitted. when you call the doctor, you have to tell them you are doing an "upfront" medical. a UCI # is not necessary. They should be inputting your info into the system and giving you an "emedical" receipt, which you will send to CIC to confirm you've completed the medical.

if the doctor doesn't know what an upfront medical is and that a UCI# is not required, then report them to CIC because they should not be a panel doctor.

Hi,
As above, most of the offices have now switched to e-medical, and the IMM1017B 'Appendix C' is now obsolete in these offices.
You could crosscheck with the panel physician.
But in any instance, if the panel physician is still paper-based- They offer the form to you at the medical.

Thanks so much guys
