Upfront medical for SDS

The medical office authorised for Canadian visa is closed in my country due to COVID pandemic. And upfront medical is the mandatory requirement for SDS application. Can I still submit my application and write an explanation with it?

1. Note: If your application is in progress it will not be closed or refused because of your inability to complete your IME in time due to COVID-19. We’ll automatically give you 90 days to complete this step.

I am about to apply. I’ve to select yes on the upfront medical in the initial questionnaire otherwise it won’t take me to the sds page

Hi, Did you apply without the medical? Is it still processed as SDS

If you have applied, I just checked the Website and you can ask them about your case (such as the the medical etc) here: https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx

You need to include a letter that you cant do medical right now due to covid in place were you were supposed to provide medical receipt, then when you do medical send it via webform.

Hi all,
Any new news on this? I am also looking to apply under SDS but without a medical test, for the moment. Also, the VAC in my city is shut, so no biometrics any time soon either.
