Dear members,

I would like to receive guidance as regard to the following.

I will soon submit my eAPR application after having received ITA under Express Entry FSW scheme. I am the main applicant and two family members are part of my application and will be accompanying me (my spouse and one new born children).

I read in the CIC website that an upfront medical check is required.

I went to book an appointment at the approved medical center and the medical assistant requested me to specify which is the class that applies for each of the family members including myself. They proposed that I choose between three classes, namely: Visitor, Student, and Worker. (I came to know later on that a class so called "Family" does exist too, but for any reason, has not been mentioned by the assistant to me).

I could not find guidance /details on this specific matter on CIC website. I do not have the personalized check list in my eAPR generated yet, thus I don't know upfront if this would be of any help. Also when reading thoroughly through the forum on this particular subject, I basically encountered a wide range of combinations mostly based on experience/opinions rather than a policy or rules which are documented. Thus this is confusing and I would not want to gamble a class and put my application at risk of being refused/bounced.

What would you suggest? Thank you in advance.

Thank you for your prompt reply. But then what about the accompanying members? What class should they belong to? May I also kindly ask you to share any link or resource for my reference (if you have)?

Most appreciate your assistance.

PS: Beside this, the medical assistant requested that I send them any supporting documentation...they also seem not to know what to do, which is not to reassure me.

Thanks for your valuable input.
One other question by the same occasion. My daughter is 9 months old. How intrusive / aggressive are those medical checks?
I understand those tests are administered by professionals but I am wondering if she could feel any pain or even undergo a trauma?
Till date she has never had an X-Rays and if I could avoid that I would definitely do.
It might be the price to pay to get PR but I would like to ask upfront just to know what I have to expect.
