Can anybody explain the pros and cons about upfront RPRF payment and medicals ?

Upfront RPRF there is no pros and cons.. if you are eligible they would use it if not they will refund the money back.
Upfront medicals if your application is rejected your medical fees would be a loss for u. Pros you could save time from their MR to medical reports sent.

The only benefit is you will not go through medical again so the timeline will be shorter.
The con is your visa expiry will be short once you get your COPR as it is normally based from the date of the medical.

For sure,

PROS:

  • shorter processing time, as officer doesn't have to wait for test results

CONS:

  • in case of rejection, you wasted money on the exam
  • shorter validity of CPR ( valid for 12 months after test taken )

and here's a post about upfront medicals:
