Updating Travel plans with IRCC

Hi,

I am an Outland AIP (Atlantic Immigration Program) applicant from India. My work permit has been approved, and my PR application is still in process (I received my AOR on October 2, 2024).

I plan to travel to Dubai from India for a week on a UAE visitor visa (which i will apply soon) before coming to Canada on my work permit.

Do I need to inform IRCC about my travel plans, considering my PR application is still ongoing? if yes, how do I inform them?
Also, will this affect my entry at the port of entry when I arrive in Canada on my work permit?

Note: This will be my first time entering Canada.

Don’t need to inform but you need a TRV to re-enter Canada. A work permit is not a TRV.

You do not need to notify IRCC of your trip to Dubai, but please ensure that you have a valid TRV to re-enter Canada, as your work permit will not be sufficient.
