Hello,

I am holding PGWP which will expire in September 2019. (Using HK passport)
I am also holding study permit with CPA institution which expire in 2021. (Using HK passport)
My HK passport will expire in 2020 February. I am going to renew my HK passport.

Do I need to renew the study permit if I renew my HK passport? OR, do I need to apply the study permit with the same status letter from my CPA institution again?
How do I update the passport number which showing on my current study permit? (which application should I use?)

Will my PGWP become invalid if I renew my HK passport? Do I need to renew the PGWP?
OR, should I apply another work permit immediately after I renew my HK passport?

If I am now unemployed and not job offering, how do I apply another work permit after PGWP?
As what I know is that I have to ask for "employment letter with the employment ID# from an employer" or "job offering letter" to apply the work permit. However, I don't have both. The only one I have is the status letter from CPA institution which stated that I will need 30 months practical experience in their program. Is this okay to apply work permit?

Furthermore, which work permit is not constraint or limited to the employer? I would like to work with different employer; therefore, I want to find a work permit that can let me work with any employer. Which one can I apply for?

Thanks,
Peter

You don't need to renew any permit simply because you got a new passport, those permits remain valid until they expire.

About work permit after PGWP this is more complicated, a job offer letter is not enough to get a work permit, you would need the employer to apply for and get a LMIA which you can use to apply for a closed work permit (Limited to that employer) or you need to transition to becoming a Permanent Resident though a program like Express Entry depending on if you have enough points.

Letter from learning institution is of no use for work permit unless it is for a co-op work permit and your study program has a co-op.

Open work permits where you can work for anyone are difficult to get & are only granted in very specific conditions see

Thank you very much your response. I am appreciated it. But one thing want to clarify is my study permit. My study permit have a passport number that was the old passport. If I renew the passport, will the permit still valid when the passport is not using or expiring?

Permits will remain valid even if you get a new passport until they expire, you just travel with both old/new passports.
