Updating address

Hey guys, I'm sponsoring my partner...we r both in US now...so i had to sign the agreement to move back to Canada when her PR gets approved...in the application, i included a letter saying that i plan to move back by the end of july...so im think i should start the process soon...cuz i read on other ppl's posts that CIC will ask u to provide a reason that u have not moved back yet if u said to them in your app that u will (IS THIS TRUE?)...i plan to work from home so i would still have a lot of freedom and time to visit my partner across the border...

second question, would updating my address online slow down the process?

No it will not, but be sure that you call your office to make sure that they have the proper address on file as well. There are far to many that have updated online and for whatever reason it did not filter all the way to where it should and important papers were lost and/or delayed because they went to the wrong address.
