Well as of today , still no good news . This must be the longest PR application timeline in history !!

My Security checks were done in October 2010 , and were sent back to CIC October 2010 , funny how no one seems to know whats happening , all im told from local office is ' we cannot proceed without the results from your security checks' .

Im told by August my next BFD I will hear news !! well you know what , if still no PR by the end of August Im going to the papers, this BS is enough now :(

Hold strong dear and keep pushing forward! I hope you are doing okay aside from this.
Let us know when update happens. Wishing you all the luck in the world for a finalization soon. :-*

Im trying to be strong L_Y, thanks... I just cant help wondering , its been over 8 months since my security checks were passed back to CIC , I would like to know whats going on thats all ..I was told there are 15000 background checks everyday and Im in the queue , but it only usually takes 3-5 month ..Im going into a deep depression here :(

they might have lost your papers.....it happened to my wife's application in Bogota last week..

omg no way. how did you find out ?

they will finish at some point don't worry :) with every day passing u r one day closer...but keep calling them regularly and ask ur mp to get involved too; make sure they have ur documents, they don't wait for anything from ur side and u didn't know....maybe they finished but with the strike it will take longer to get THE letter

go out in the park, take advantage of the summer, go camping, a vacation away from pc, this forum, or the cic website (canada has so many lovely places)....u'll get the news when u'll least expect it :)

stay positive!!

Thanks for your well wishes, my MP is involved and the answers he gets is, no results in yet .

The whole process is really making me sick now , I mean , I cant stop worrying that Im gunna be denied and forced to leave , Ive made lots of friends here and have 2 great jobs , and to leave would break my heart . All I want is an answer :(

That's so harsh for them to deny you after waiting for more than 2 years. as long as you're police record are clean, i think you will get it. I know it's hard. it's hard for us too, especially to other applicants where husbands/wives were separated by this process. Hang in there!

Im trying lol !! I really hope im one of the next ones to get it, I try and stay away from this forum cos seeing other people get theirs in so little time really upsets me, but Im happy for them too .

Plz let me be soon :-[

I found out because we haven't received any news since the AOR letter after more than 2 months...and everybody else were received either PPR etc...
so I went to my deputy's office and ask his assistant to write to Bogota which she did and would help me.....turns out Bogota hasn't received the CSQ from Quebec...

well, of course they did because:

- Micc confirmed me they send it
- I sent them a copy in an envelop with a sticker (on the envelop and on the copy of csq) from the AOR letter. The envelop also contained a bank deposit receipt to do the criminal background checks....so I guess nothing has been done.

It really is frustrating how they are error-free and we have to pay for them. Hopefully they will see I am not some passive who wait and wait..I want to know what is going on!

Good for you to do some investigating , it paid off for you !

I called the call centre twice this morning, 1st time all I got was the same old answer'no updates still' so I was pretty pissed off with the same old same old, so 2nd time I asked to speak with a supervisor, which I was told, Im sure I can help you first let me try, so on I went with sounding off sayin, CSIS sent their assessment back to CIC in October , your saying you dont have it, so where is it ? I then said, does the Minister of immigration have it? she replied NO Mam ! all she told me is, the same as per ! if you havnt heard by August 29th call us back and we will take action, I said, well Mam if I have no news by then Im going to the papers !! She replied, I understand you are mad at us, I said, thats an understatement !

So if CSIS dont have it and CIC or the minister of immigration dont have any answers , who does ? god these people make me sick .
