I dont post often, but as some may remember I am in the process of bringing a live in caregiver from South Africa (she is Zimbabwean). She sent in her application for visa to Pretoria the ending of April. She was sent for her medical quite quickly, and on July 19 she received a response which said,
"Greetings,
We have received satisfactory medical results for yourself valid until
1/6/2013. The officer is currently assessing your application and we
will notify you as soon as a decision has been made."

As of today, we are still waiting. Ive read people say that the medical is usually the last step before a visa is issued, but in our case it seems to have been one of the first steps. Should I be worried??? Any opinions anyone? Its a little nerve wracking for both of us!

Did she send her passport with the application package? If she didn't next step is passport request then the decision. Technically she started the process in May and three months of processing is not too bad. Pretoria has an average processing time of 4 months.

Thanks job seeker. She did not include her passport with the application. We will see if we hear anything next week. Lots of prayers and keeping our fingers crossed!
