Hi! I hope someone can help me.
I am an International student finishing a 1-year program. The problem is that when I applied for the student Visa I was in a common-law relationship with a girl of my country of origin but the visa was granted only for me. Now this relationship is over and I need to apply for a Post- Graduate work permit (PGWP). My question is:
How can I update this new marital status? In the forms for the PGWP they ask for my marital status and I want to know if it is as simple as registering my new marital status in this form. Remember that there is a Statuory Declaration of Commom-Law in my records since last year when I applied for the student visa. Is there any problem taking in consideration that I'm neither a Canadian citizen nor a Permanent Resident?. My ex partner isn't Canadian either.
Thanks,
