Applied full file in March, aip in aug deffered to jan

Hi I received my visa and i defered my intake from sep to jan and then jan to may but I didn’t update IRCC is it required to update or i can travel without updating via webform. If it is mandatory to update can i travel raising webform instantly or have to wait until get reply from IRCC. Haw many days do they take to reply for webform
