Hi,

I need to update my CEC application by adding my new born baby who was born outside Canada. Is it possible to send the required documents , updated forms and photos in digital by email to CIC email address?

As per CIC they are asking for four copies of photos. But if I am sending through emails , is it OK to send one digital copy of photograph as per the specification?

Thanks

Have you emailed to ask them what they need?

Photos cannot be emailed afaik and any originals requested must be mailed.

yes, I emailed CIC and got this response back

"Your child, if born in Canada, will automatically be a Canadian citizen. If not, your child will have to complete immigration formalities which will require the issuance of the following items:

· Processing fee for your child (if accompanying you to Canada)

· Copy of your child’s birth certificate

· Copy of your child’s valid passport

· Four (4) photographs of your child according to specifications

· Updated IMM 0008 Generic Application Form for Canada for yourself

· Updated IMM 5406 Additional Family Information form

Copies of the original documents are required. If these documents are not in English or French, they must be accompanied with original certified translations in English or French. All documents must be sent by email, mail or fax according to the address and number below. Do not submit originals unless otherwise stated as documents submitted will not be returned.

Sorry, you will have to mail the photographs, and anything else where an original document is required (e.g. payment by certified cheque).

I am currently outside Canada for a Vacation. Can I send the documents via Courier to CIC office Ottawa from outside Canada?
