Update address while visiting Canada for 6months?

Hello all,
So I've come to Canada to wait out the rest of the application process for 6 months. I'm visa exempt (British) tourist.
Im a little confused as to if I should update my address or not?
My partner just went to update his address as he has officially moved back here (we met, lived and applied from Japan) and it was asking if "other people in this application are also moving to the new address, please check here".
Tried calling to speak to an agent, but was sent round in circles.

Any advice or help would be appreciated.

I would say yes you should because you are now living in Canada, albeit as a visitor technically. Because if neither you, nor the sponsor, lives at the address you put on your application any more that address technically now has nothing to do with either of you any more.

Do I have to do it separately, or when my partner updates his, he selects the "this applies to others in the application"?

That particular option wasn't available for me (my new address was already set as my husband's address) but I don't see why not! Seems to perfectly apply to your situation

Sorry for another question. Did you update your home or mailing address? Or both?

I actually already had my mailing address as the Canadian address, so it was only my home address I had to update. But in your case you should update both.
