Hello everyone!

I am recently married but living with my wife for 2 years now. I intend to study a course in New Brunswick that would cost CAD$ 17,800 over two years (1st year: $8,500; 2nd year: $9,300).
I currently have just enough to pay for the first year. My parents and the parents of my wife are willing to write a sponsorship letter to help with the proof of funds.
I have never been abroad before, and I have scored 8,5 on IELTS academics.

Are there reasons to have a visa denied? Do I have to prove 2 years of tuition or just 1 is fine?

Thanks in advance,
Jhonatta Melo

To be approved, you need to show you have sufficient funds to cover first year tuition + $10K in living expenses + $2-3K in travel expenses.

But can this be proofed with my parents and my wife's parents support, even though we are married and do not depend on them anymore?

Yeah you can have your parents and in-laws fund you, that's a close enough relationship to be considered valid

I would say see if you can fulfill the funds requirement from just a single person

My own experience and observing cases on this forum tells me when dealing with visa officers, keep your information complete but concise and simply presented

Thanks. I'll try to do that!

The fact that I don't own a house, a car or investments in my country could be a reason for lack of proof of bonds with my country? (I do have a job at least...)
