Dear Ankit & Other Seniors,

I have collected my Transcripts from College .I have passed Bachelors in Mechanical Engg. ( 4 years ) from Beant Engg. College ,Punjab and it is affliated to Punjab Technical University . But the college issues me transcripts in their own College Stationary with Logo on the envelove and they do not put any seal onto envelope.

If I submit it to CHC , do they consider it. Or they consider it only on sealed envelope by College/Univerisity.

Please reply

vicky im also ptu passed out,i got my transcripts from ptu university jalandhar not from college

Dear singh092120

Yes that is OK . But we can also get it from our College . But in my case they do not put seal on the Envelope. What shpuld I do now ?

Anybody please help!!

stamp on envelope is require,
go& stamped it from college

If you can not get it stamped from college just explain in your cover letter that college is not stamping the Envelopes.

One thing that I also want to point out that singh092120 pointed is, the Transcripts needs to be issued by same authority which issued your Marksheets and degree

Dear Ankit

I was waiting for your comments . Thanks

The Univerisity is P.T.U . It had 29 Enginieering Colleges in Punjab, India which had got accrediatation by AICTE ( All India Council of Technical Education ) .

Mine was Govenment College ( Beant College Of Engg. & Technology ) and been Affiliated to P.T.U

Secondly many of my freinds had moved to Foreign Countires on Study Basis like Canada , Australia etc. and they got their trnscripts from College only. But I dont know whether they got Transcripts Sealed Stamped , and even I dont have their contact to ask them this thing ???

Any further comments would be appreciated !!

I have always been confused about the difference between Transcripts, Markssheet and Degree As per my understanding Transcripts are basically Marsk sheet. ::)

Can any one explain.

Dear Vicky and Singh092120,

My requirements seems tougher than you. I did BE from SLIET which was under PTU at that time and now SLIET
has become a deemed university.

But in my thinking, I need my transcript from PTU.
Now the worst thing is I currently don't reside in India these days.

So can you especially, Singh092120 tell me the way to this transcript from PTU?
Following your way, I may ask someone at home to get it done for me or I may opt for paid services.

Eagerly waiting..!!

@Vicky

I think you need it from your Univ. For me it was east to get transcripts from college. One days task, it took me 4 months to get it from my Univ. So I was also tempted to send the Transcripts from college . I sent the query to CHC Please see the e-mail below

Dear Sir/Madam,

This is in response to your recent email enquiry to the Immigration Section of the Canadian High Commission in New Delhi.
The sealed transcripts must originate from and bear the seal of the educational institution which originally issued the transcripts. If the college, affiliated with the university, is the original issuer of the transcripts, you may submit the transcripts sealed by the college. If not, then you must obtain sealed transcripts from the university.
Universities in India are familiar with our requirements and have not, to date, refused to issue sealed transcripts. If you are unable to obtain sealed transcripts, you may submit notarized transcripts however, they will be subject to close scrutiny and the visa officer may still require sealed transcripts.
We trust that this information will be of assistance.

Any one like to explain it.

Transcripts are concised marksheets in one or two pages with some information like your name, father's name course name, institute name , duration of course and all subjects with marks obtained. These serve a specific purpose of authenticating the your education claims, are often issued in sealed envelope by the University

Hi, Like Ankit explained. Transcript are a commentary about your Marksheet on the university / College Letterhead. It may contain information about number of hours credit or class size or percentile information of your passout batch. You can ask for many copies of transcript from your university.

Whereas your marksheets are just exam results and will only talk about your grades. You cannot ask for many copies of marksheet, you can only photocopy them and notarize them.

Degree is the formal declaration consisting University Seal and can only be awarded by a University - this would declare the level of education conferred upon you on a particular date on completing the formalities of the university course.

Thanks CAforCA and Ankit,

In this case, what is appropriate, to send the Marksheet or these Transcript obtain from the Department in which u studied.

Actually I have never seen any other form of transcript in Karachi / Pakistan then the Marks sheet, that is why I was confused.
