Hello, so the story goes like this.

I have not attained good grades in my undergraduate, 2.72/4 (70.8) determined by my university.

My ultimate goal is to earn PR in Canada and a stable job in software engineering.

I am thinking of applying to university of bishop for their MS(Computer Science) program, I wanted feedback on how the university program is? If anyone has studied or applied there?

I have also applied to some other universities but bishop is my last option.

I want to basically finance my living by doing part time jobs but I do not know french, but i've heard i need to know french to score a part time job in sherbrooke.

Any advice or feedback would be highly appreciated.

Sherbrooke is not really close to Bishop's. 45 minutes if I remember correctly. Not sure what transportation options are available between the cities. Getting a job in Quebec in the service industry will likely be very challenging. You will also have to get to that job without a car which will also be difficult.

Thank you for your reply, can you elaborate what you mean by service industry?

I would be coming with my spouse, we both have a bachelors degree in CS but skill A jobs are hard to find (assuming) over there. So we would be trying to score any type of job we could find, so we could finance our living over there.

My spouse would be working with an open permit through my study visa.

Basically, the real question is that do you suggest studying masters in university of bishop? Ultimate goal is to score PR. But financing our living ourself is also a criteria. We both know well enough English but our French skills would be zero.

Bishop's university is in a very small town. The university is basically the whole town. Your spouse won't be able to get a job easily there. She'd have to commute to Sherbrooke. CS jobs may not require French but it is not a huge city. Maybe she can work remotely.
