University is Billing me without Study Permit.

I Applied For my study permit after getting my offer from Kwantlen Polytechnic University, To date, my Study permit is still being processed with the last update of Biometrics. I did medicals but it has not been reflected on my Visa application portal yet.
My agent who got me admission and managed my Visa application gave me access to the University Portal, I logged in and the portal prompt me to register
for my course. When I tried to do so, it would not let me because the deadline has passed. I tried another time and it let me register for 2 courses of 6 credits.
close to the term start date of January 4th, 2022, I asked my agent if she could defer the admission because my visa won't be ready, she told me she has already written to the University and she is waiting for a response from the Uni. When she finally got to them to push the admission to the next intake of Sep 2022, they told her I registered for 2 courses that I will have to pay for the full term even if I don't have a study permit yet.

on a call today, they said if I don't pay the full year fees, they will send my details to the debt collectors. I am not even in the country yet and they are giving me all these issues

This is an issue with your consultant and the university. You registered for the courses so you need to look at the university’s cancellation and refund policy. Since you are using a consultant, you don’t know what they are discussing or agreeing to. You need to read all of the correspondence between your consultant and the university. Make sure your consultant is telling you the truth.

Read their policies for admission/fee payment and refunds. Refunds most likely need to be made in writing.

Why did you register for 2 courses? If you're registered for courses, there is a deadline for dropping courses without a penalty which is before the semester starts, then there is a deadline to withdraw from the course with a 30% penalty, and last would be a deadline to drop the course but still pay the tuition in full. Did you drop the course on time?

As I said, when I entered the student portal, it prompted me to register, when I tried, it said my registration deadline has passed. I tried later and it worked. Waiting for my study permit, I did not tell my Agent I have registered for 2 courses, before the deadline which I was not aware of, she told me she has sent in a request for deferment and the wait for response from her took the whole thing past the deadline. that's when I learned even without a study permit from the Visa Office, they can charge you for studying at the Uni.

last week Thursday, 27 of January I dropped the 2 courses as I learn I cannot push my admission to September of this year unless I pay a balance of 2500 CAD then another deposit for the next academic intake.

this is devastating to me. I don't know what to do... I am having sleepless nights.
