Hello all,

Are there any universities in Canada which 'actually' accept students into their MASc/MEng programs with <70% in their undergrad engineering degree (done from India)? IELTS score is not a problem, just the percentage is what I'm concerned about. If there are any, which are lenient about their admission requirements, please let me know. Thank you. :)

Most guys who end up with a <70 score end up doing a diploma course to immigrate to Canada. You can find these courses in most colleges. You could try convincing universities but the chances are slim.

So, that means all the students who are going to the universities in Canada are all above 70%? That is quite unbelievable, because not all universities in India have same standards! :o I know about the Diplomas and Advanced Diplomas.. But I'd appreciate, if someone comes up with such Universities. Thank you.

Depends on what university you did your undergrad from!

I had 70% (EXACT) and got into some of the better universities in Canada because of undergraduate degree from a good university, solid work experience and a well-written SOP

Mention your profile here so that I and others can get a fair idea and advise you about your options

What are my chances for masters in Canadian univ esp in ISE regina univ ?

I got acceptance from univ Regina for, however my msc cgpa is 3.60 and ielts score 7.0 overall and two additional degrees too.

Hi,

I got admission in University of Regina. My CGPA was 2.8x, which is probably less than 70%. In my opinion, most universities evaluate last two years performance of degree.

In my case, my last two years GPA around 3.5x. I took out the letter of last two years of performance from my university. I think you could do the same thing...... Or you may get acceptance in OttawaU for M.Eng Engineering Management.

Wish you best of luck!
