HI, I am a Canadian living abroad and i want to sponser my husband so we can move back to Canada.I am unemployed at the moment as I am a house wife and mother of two small children. My husband is the bread winner for our family. I have completed all the paperwork for sponsership and he has his completed for his PR visa. Now that I am getting ready to post the application I am scared that they will not accept me as the sponser as I am not working at this moment. My husband make in excess of 120000CAD in Ireland but I personally dont have an income. Do I apply for a co sponser or will they accept our total income as enough to grant me sponsèrship? Seriously, unsure. P

There is no minimum income needed to sponsor someone. But CIC will want to know how you and your spouse will make a living in Canada. Especially since you do not live there now. You need to show them a plan of how you and your husband will settle in Canada and support yourselves. Your husband makes good money in Ireland. If your husband is in a high-demand profession where he can easily find a similar job in Canada with that kind of income, then that will help a lot. Having a lot of savings will help too.
