Our profile is at 487 and the system keeps awarding us with 5 extra points for spousal 1 year Canadian Work experience. Unfortunately the one year will be reached only on 23rd of September and because of 3 weeks emergency unpaid leave it won't be vaild till mid of October.

Because we won't be able to claim points for it, should we remove it from Work history and including it later into Personal history (along with explaining the situation)? Because of this, we have to decline ITA and it's really frustrating... These unreal invitations might even affect the cut-off score at this low number of invitations. What do you think?

Unclear - - did you already receive an ITA? If yes, which draw? (What date did you get the ITA?)

If you already received the ITA, deduct the 5 points - if your score remains above the cutoff for your ITA, you can go ahead and apply. If it falls below the cut-off, you should decline the ITA.

If you have not already received the ITA, it would be a good idea to remove it until the one year is complete.

With the extra points we have 492 (487 + 5) and we received ITA yesterday. 487 is not enough, so we have to decline it. Thanks for the advice!
