hi,
im new here, and i would glad any form of help,
im a visitor here in canada and my visa will expire on may 1, 2017
i have been accepted in a school accredited for study permit,
my question is, should i apply for an extension of my visitor visa while together with applying for student visa, because i know it will take 6 weeks for student visa to be processed.
or should i just go with processing my student visa without extending my visitor visa?
help please...

Yes - you need to extend your visitor visa. Applying for a study permit does not give you implied status or allow you to remain in Canada. Note that your study permit must be sent to a visa office outside of Canada - it cannot be processed by a visa office within Canada.

Overall, you would be better off returning to your home country and applying for the study permit from there (higher chance of approval). But ultimately your choice.
