I am an old applicant. I emailed the embassy recently and they told me that my file is under background check. can you qorax and seniors tell me how long would this process last. It's been 8 months since the update of my documents. I need to get the answer whether negative or positive. what can I do? I'm planning to apply for immigration to another country if I'm not accepted. Can you give me examples of reasons for rejection?

Dear Sir, The background check , is an essential part of every one's immigration process and such checks are done by CIC through CSIS to determine whether you or your family members are a security risk to Canada. They check into your background - the schools you've attended, organizations you've been part of, military service, jobs you've had and security clearances you've been granted, etc. These will be done in each and every country if applicable. There is no exact time limit for this task. So you have to wait till the CIC get in touch with you for any further requirement.
