Umbilical hernia and PR Medicals

He, we recently had our medicals for our PR application FSW1 stream. Our 4 year old son had a small umbilical hernia. The DMP noted this during the medical exam. Does anyone here have experience about this? Will this be an issue for us; will we be required to take further exams or be mandated to have the surgery before we can be admitted to Canada.

PS: The paediatric surgeon here had decided that surgery will not be done until he is 5. He's without any symptoms, it doesn't bother him except that cosmetically he/we will not be happy for him to keep it for long.

What was the outcome of medicall results.. Did you receive the visa?

The rule of thumb is that an illness will start to hurt your PR if it costs $5000 a year or more. I doubt that it it going to cost that much to fix a small umbilical hernia in a child.
