I'm from Canada, recently ordered an item from a UK retailer and it’s already been delivered. I’ve just received an email from the business asking me to pay VAT separately. I’ve heard of import duty bills arriving after delivery for overseas purchases, but not for items bought within the UK. I assumed the checkout price included all taxes. Am I required to pay this VAT now?
