Hi all, Great forum . . .

We are from England and were just about to send off our forms when we saw these recent changes.

Now, they are asking us for an approved English test :

Have you taken an approved test to assess your proficiency in English or French?

Yes : Provide a copy of approved test results.
No : Provide evidence of your proficiency in Canada's official languages.

I can't work out if I have to take a test ?

If I say No, how can I give evidence in my proficiency in English (I am English and have lived her all my life)

I have looked into these tests, but they are all courses designed for non speaking or low level English so do not apply to us.

Any advise would be appreciated,

Thanks.

Hi, I really don't get this. I've been looking into these tests and the sample questions I've read are the types of things I did at school 25 years ago !

I can't understand why an English speaking Englishman needs to do a basic English test ???
