Two check list

Hi,
My wife and I are almost done with our documents for imigration..we are in the last process of going over the checklists. However there is some confusion. There are two checklists. One is for the sponsor and one for the sponsored person. Some documents are mentioned is both checklists and others are only mentioned in the sponsored person's checklist. How are supposed to send the documents as a whole?
like sponsor person send all documents in her envelope or we both make separate envelope?

For mine I put it in 3 envelopes

1st - sponsor application
2nd - applicants application
3rd - proof of relationship/common documents

Basically anything that didn't directly fall into the first 2 folders or was requested in both applications i put in the 3rd envelope. I added a note with the checklist for any of these.
