Hi,
my boyfriend is from Cuba and he applied for a temporary resident visa and it got refused for the following reasons:

• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your travel history.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status.

I don't understand the travel history since he has 3 visitor visa for Italy and went there 5 times in the last 2 years and never overstayed his visa date.

As for the personal assets, we didn't provide proof he owns his house, which we should have done and will do in the next application.
What to do for the financial status? We provided a letter of employment, his 2017 and 2016 taxes report, but he is in Cuba they don't have money. I gave all my bank statement showing how much money I have, how much I make and stated in my letter of invitation that I would provide for him (and I have a good job, salary and standing).

In the application we planned him to stay for 4 weeks should we try for a shorter period of time?

Any tips on what we can do differently to fix theses issues?

Thanks for your help guys!
