Hello everyone,

I want to go Canada for doing my undergraduate. Me & my wife go together. Most probably we will go Manitoba/Newfoundland and Labrador/Prince Edward island. She will go as a spouse of me. My question is that if i will work 20 hours a week and my wife will work 25/30 hours a week and we will do 35*2=70 hours on the vacation time then is it possible to live there and pay my tuition fees? tuition fee is 8000-10000 yearly. and i will go after paying my 1st year tuition.

Let me know the situation who have idea about this and those are currently living in there

Thanks

You should not include your wife in this calculation since there is no guarantee she will receive an open work permit (it's quite possible the OWP wil be refused). You should also be aware that there's no guarantee you will be able to find a job (or your wife will be able to find a job assuming she is approved for an OWP).

Even if you do include your wife's potential income, it won't be possible to cover both your tuition fees and living expenses.

If you don't have enough funds to pay for your living expenses and tuition without working, then I wouldn't recommend coming to Canada.

Thanks for your reply. One thing let me clear that...she will not study. she will go as a spouse of me... I will study only.. and i will bring her not at the same time when i will go. First i will go then after 6/7 months i will bring her. In that situation what should you recommend?

and for both of us what would be the monthly living cost if we cook by ourselves.

please reply
