Hello,

My brother is moving to British Columbia with a student visa this year. We are paying the tuition fee for non residents for now, but we are hoping he will be able to get his PR within one year of living here.
Someone told us that if he does get the PR before finishing the course, he would be able to get some sort of reimbursement for the extra value paid for not being a resident. I would like to confirm that information. Is there such a thing?

Thank you!

I doubt it, but you'd need to check with the school.

Be aware that schools also often have lower admission requirements for foreign students since they pay so much money; if your brother suddenly obtains PR, there's a small chance the school may have issues with his admission. (I know of no examples of this, it's just something you need to ask the school about)
