Hi, I have been a silent member of this forum for a long time. Here's my story:
I was going to apply under NOC 1111 Federal Skilled Worker category in July. I had almost everything ready but the dreaded rule change on June 26th meant that I was no longer eligible. And at this stage, or for that matter in the short to mid term, I cannot go through the PNP and Employer routes, simply because there is too much hassle/competition. I still see a good future in Canada because of her stable economy and I also welcome the rule change, because it means a balanced immigration unlike UK/USA/Australia (even though it has made me ineligible). But I do see some light of hope; I can immigrate to Quebec... though it'll take time.
I'm sure there are many like me who are still keen to settle in Canada after adverse rule change for them. And here's the answer: Quebec. The information on Quebec immigration isn't as widely available as the information on FSW and most of the threads are by current applicants usually sharing their timelines, hence the reason for this thread - to help myself and countless others to understand the Quebec immigration process and make first steps towards their application.
