Goodmorning from Abu Dhabi,
Im a 21 years old student (single) & had applied for a visit visa to Canada on the 3rd of Sept 2018.
Documents submitted:-
1) A copy of my student visa that expires in may 2019, passport copies that included the recent expired schengan visa (Spain) that I had used to travel to Spain and stay there for the month of July 2018. I have applied to France in 2016 and Spain in 2017 and got the visas but only travelled to France in 2016 and stayed for a month but not to spain the following year. However, I did not attach the 2016 & the 2017 visas since the two visas are on two different expired passports and since travel history was not requested I did not think it was necessary to attach copies of old passports with expired schengan visas. I also attached passport copies of my mother since she is my sponsor in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
2) A signed consent letter from my mother stating that she is going to be taking care of all of the financial matters during my stay, Also mentioned my purpose of travel which was to visit two of my friends that are international students studying in Canada with my departure and return dates along with my place of stay in a motel.
3) A 6 months bank statement of about 55K AED. However I forgot to attach the document that certifies that my mother has been working in a governmental school for over 17 years.
4) A letter from my university stating that I am a continuing student in the years 2018-2019. Keeping in mind that when I had applied I did not attach any receipts of payments to my university since I hadn't started my first semester then.
5) An invitation letter from one of my friends I was planning on visiting that is on a student visa in Canada.
6) An itinerary from the 6th - 13th of Oct with a receipt of where I was going to stay for the 8 days.
I received my rejection on the 21st of October for the following reasons:-
"Following an examination of your application, I am not satisfied that you meet the requirements of the Act and the Regulations for the reasons explained below. I am therefore refusing your application."
Grounds for refusal:
1. Your immigration status
2. Your personal assets and financial status
3. Your travel history
4. immigration status in country of residence
5. personal assets and financial status
travel history
Can senior members please help me figure out what documents I need to add and what documents will help me with my immigration status/immigration status in country of residence and if getting a second rejection would affect my application for a student visa for master studies in fall 2019?
Thank you in advance @Bryanna @scylla
