hello Everyone,

Me and my wife both are on PR. I had applied for a TRV visa for my wife's parents who live in India a few months back so that they can visit us. Since my wife was pregnant at that time I stated the same reason in the invitation letter along with a supporting letter from my doctor. I applied twice and in both situations, my visa was rejected with the following reasons.

I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.

I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status.

You are welcome to reapply if you feel that you can respond to these concerns and can demonstrate that your situation meets the requirements

Since the baby was born a month ago. Can I reapply so that at least they can come to visit the baby? What are the chances for refusal.? Is there a time frame I need to wait before reapplying. Also, What is the best reason I should give in their invitation letter. Also, Please advise what documents I need to show for the Finacial Status.

Please advise.

Thanks

You can reapply at any time, you don't have to wait.

However, you should first sort out the reasons for refusal. There are two :

1. Purpose of visit - What was the length of the trip, and what exactly did you say? If you said they are coming for months, and to "help with baby", it can sound like they are coming to work (free babysitting) which IRCC discourages.

2. Financials - What documents did you submit?

How long a trip did they request? What proof of ties to their home country did they show? What amount of funds did they show to support their trip? Do they have previous travel to countries requiring visas such as the US and UK?

Sometime the visa officer reject our request due to the reasons that they know beyond our understand but they dobt mentioned it, they decided to show you the reasons accordingly and they said "........ as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR....". It is very irritated to the applicants

Well when someone is refused the VO has to base their refusal on the law , so they always quote what section of the IRPR they based their decision on
Maybe irritating, but this is the way it is

We request a stay for 30 days and my wife's parents are running a textile business back in India which I showed with all the supporting documents. I also showed strong ties that they have to return back to India since their elder daughter lives with them. They showed around C$4500 for their trip.

My father in law worked in Muscut for 25 yrs and retired and now settled down in India so he was traveling quite often during that time. My mother law also visited him twice. They never travel to US or UK.

2. Financials - What documents did you submit?
- They showed the bank statement showing the fund for this trip. Further, I also submitted all the documents to provide financial support if need.

I submitted the following docs
