Hello,
I got a new study permit on March and I have applied for a TRV on April 1, 2015.
The problem the time since I applied has passed the processing time than is shown in the cic website, when I contacted the cic call center they told me there is a problem in the system. I have emailed the CPC-o email and I got no reply from them and i have a flight booked on June 5th, 2015 for my wedding in Saudi Arabia, i am just afraid that they request my passport and they hold it for a long time of period, do you know any good way to speed up the process, or should i skip the application and apply again when I arrive in Saudi Arabia? :'( :-X

Thank you guys

I have study permit expire in July 2016. I apply for new TRV on April 10, 2015. Passport request is in April 15, 2015. It took one week to send my passport to Ottawa and get it back. If you apply on April 1, 2015 and still not get it yet, that is too long. But for the passport sending time, it takes around 1 week. So for now, if they request your passport, you still have time.
I also apply a TRV for my wife who is currently in Viet Nam to visit my Bachelor Convocation. The application date is April 10, 2015. But we still have no update yet. Does anyone know which center the application is processed ? I mean Viet Nam, Singapore or Canada ? The website states that the normal processing time is 28 days if from Viet Nam. But since i apply online with my CIC account, i am not sure which timeline to apply.

Confirmation of Online Application Transmission- April-1-2015
Original Passport Request - May-28-2015

the problem is that i am leaving soon and i got the original passport request letter today so i think i am going to dismiss the letter and re-apply when i get to my back home since i just have 7 days left.

Hi
You applied for study permit renewal or for the first time? Which country did you apply from?

You can't speed up the process, you have no argument, you should have applied with lots more of time to prevent any delays.

The scenario you are thinking of is quite possible, so if you don't want to risk it apply in your home country.
