Hi all,

My husband's TRV was rejected twice, once in June and the second time in November. I then decided to go to an immigration consultant, and they advised me I should go ahead and apply for spousal PR sponsorship and if I can get everything ready, we can hand in in January, when my baby is due to be born. My question is if these TRV refusals will affect my PR application? especially since its so soon after the 2 TRV refusals? Or since I'm having baby, and would like to be reunited with my husband asap, it is explainable and will only make my PR application stronger? Lastly, is it possible to appy for TRV again after I hand in PR application and if i pass the first stage assessment? Any input would be much appreciated, thanks!

Yes - you should apply to sponsor your husband for PR asap. Two TRVs should not impact the PR application - however you want to avoid additional refusals. You should mention that you are pregnant. This will strengthen the application however most likely won't result in faster processing.

I personally wouldn't apply for another TRV. I think the chances of approval are unfortunately likely nil since they know your husband has plans to remain in Canada long term. Having too many TRV refusals can sometimes impact a PR application. I think you want to avoid getting a third refusal.

HI

I have been in same situation for my wife as her TRV rejected twice. I applied for sponsorship and her PR. My sponsorship has been approved now and thinking to apply for her TRV again. Dont worry VO consider every application fresh but TRV you have to explain rejection reasons. I have seen people who got TRV 6th attempt with PR application in process,

Me too with same situation my wife got refused for trv thrice and applied immediately for pr under qsw but I mentioned in her form that she got refused. And gave a reason " vo is not satisfied with application for certain reasons" and after we completed our medicals too
As of now it's going cool nd I don't know about future but I think it won't be a problem if u mention in ur application

Correct me if I'm wrong

Do not worry. I think sponsorship approval has different rquirement than TRV.
My wife's file reached NDVO and its under process. It will be alright.

I am thinking to apply for TRV after sponsorship approval.
What do you think?
